LGI Homes - Deceit is their plan
I had the misfortune to work for this company. They are deceitful.
They deliberately set up an environment of pressure, false hopes and disorientation. The quality of the houses they build is very poor. They tell the sales staff that the product doesn't matter - it is all about the presentation. They believe in herding as many people in as possible (weekends only) understanding that most won't/cannot buy a house.
The 'affiliated' lender typically charges 1% more on the mortgage rate. The postcards they send out have an incomplete HEADLINE monthly price * with an asterisk (plus taxes & insurance) and the zero down payment has an asterisk (certain programs, certain criteria etc). LGI checks your credit to make sure you might be able to get financing... if you can't you will be shown the door quickly.
LGI is a homebuilder that really doesn't care what the client wants, just in getting them to sign the line. LGI is looking for people who don't know any better. Bottom line c'mon in and pay too much for too little while being rushed to make a bad decision on the biggest investment you will probably ever make.
DON'T DO IT! Just say no.
