LGI Homes - Review in Home Construction and Repair category from Atlanta, Georgia
The website for LGI homes in the southwest Atlanta Ga. Region, states "peaceful community".
That is a lie. I have been a homeowner here for a year now, and when I first arrived it was still pretty much under construction. On signing day I was overjoyed. I had to put in some work, but the salesman worked with me, and eventually I got my dream home.
The kids in this neighborhood (teenagers mainly) run wild. There is like hundreds of them and all they do is walk through the streets causing destruction. Leaving trash everywhere they go, no respect for private property, and disrespectful to adults. Spoke with the HOA...
Nothing they can do. Ill never understand why ppl are willing to pay all this money in mortgage only to allow their children to destroy it.
If you want to have a nice home, in a peaceful community, LGIs St. Joseph community is not it!!!

As the President of an HOA in an LGI community, (also in Georgia) I can assure you that your HOA can most definitely do something about kids vandalizing property and making a nuisance of themselves. "Nuisance activity" is defined in your deed restrictions, which the HOA is required to enforce.
Now, if the HOA is still under the control of LGI and hasn't transitioned to the homeowners' control, your challenge is getting the "Board" to address this through the management company they have contracted with. Try contacting Seth Yurman with your concerns (seth.yurman@***.com) if LGI still controls the HOA.
